The commitment
We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA across the app and this website. That is the target, not a claim of having finished — the gaps below are real and being worked on.
What works today
- Screen readers — VoiceOver and TalkBack are tested on every release. Rings, charts and scores have text equivalents, so a number is never conveyed by shape alone.
- Colour is never the only signal. Every status that uses colour also carries a label or icon — including the red/amber/green readiness bands.
- Contrast. Body text meets 4.5:1 and large text 3:1 in both light and dark themes.
- Text scaling to 200% without loss of content, and Dynamic Type support on iOS.
- Reduced motion. The site and app honour the system setting — floating and pulsing animations stop, smooth scrolling turns off.
- Keyboard. This website is fully keyboard-operable with a visible focus ring on every interactive element.
- Numbers you’d rather not see. Calorie and weight figures can be hidden entirely — an accessibility feature as much as a wellbeing one.
Known gaps
We would rather list these than let you discover them.
- The workout video player has no captions on around a fifth of the library. Captioning the remainder is in progress.
- Two charts in the sleep detail view still announce as a single unlabelled image to screen readers.
- Switch Control navigation of the challenge leaderboard is awkward — the row order does not match the visual order.
- This site has not yet been audited against WCAG 2.2 by a third party.
Report a barrier
If something blocked you, please tell us — it goes straight to the people who can fix it, not to a ticket queue. access@fitfly.app. Include your device and assistive technology if you can. We reply within two working days and will tell you honestly whether a fix is weeks or months away.
If you need something on this site in another format, ask and we will send it.
